Specimen Instructions |
Fresh stool samples should be placed in sterile, leak-proof, wide-mouthed, preservative-free containers. Samples can be stored at 15°C to 30°C (room temperature) for up to 4 hours or 2°C to 8°C (refrigerated) for up to 7 days. Unpreserved raw stool samples should be transported to the laboratory in a refrigerated state (2°C to 8°C). |
